In Jigawa State in Nigeria, the honourable minister for Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Chief Audu Ogbeh was at the official foundation laying ceremony of a Mega Refined White Sugar Factory in Gangarawa LGA on Sunday 40th April 2017.
The factory, when completed, will have a sugarcane crushing capacity of 14,000TCD and expected cane yield of 100MT per Nectar.
This will create employment as about 5,800 workers will be employed.
Also present at the event are
Deputy Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Permanent Secretary of the Federal ministry for water resources and other officials of Jain Greenhouse/Irrigation services in Jigawa.
The speech delivered by the Governor of Jigawa State, Gov. Badaru Abubakar emphasised that the investment will boost income generation to sustain livelihoods of the host communities and the state at large.
