The Liberia Agribusiness Development Activity (LADA) and its Partner, Business Startup Center (BSC) Monrovia, through the Agriculture Investment Network (AIN) is expected to hold its second Agriculture Value Chain Day event.

The program, which is scheduled for the 28th of September at the Paynesville Town Hall, will gather value chain actors to showcase their products and services, establish business relationships with potential investors in agribusiness and encourage knowledge exchange.

The event, according to a release, will demonstrate the valuable role played by these actors in increasing the private sector investment in the agricultural sector. This year’s event will bring together at least 26 exhibitors from Nimba, Bong, and Montserrado Counties who will exhibit their products from their rice cassava, aquaculture, vegetable, and cocoa value chains, as well as locally fabricated agro-equipment.

Meanwhile, the selected exhibitors will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses to potential investors or financiers.

LADA is being implemented by Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) and it is founded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the United States Feed the Future (FTF) program. At the same time the FTF and LADA will expand access and use of agriculture inputs and post-harvest handling, processing, packaging, and marketing farmers. Currently, LADA activity takes place in four counties Nimba, Bong, Lofa and Montserrado Counties.

Furthermore, BSC Monrovia, as one of its partners is a locally registered business development firm operating in Liberia, initially established as a collaboration between the Association of Liberian Universities (ALU). The BSC Monrovia organizes activities and services to support entrepreneurship, job creation and poverty alleviation in the country.
