Chief Content Officer

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, goal-oriented, bilingual Chief Content Officer to take ownership of our event secretariat’s vision and development. In this position, you will manage all conference operations and functional teams and be responsible for the success, performance, and strategies of new and existing events.

DUTIES

  • Run a portfolio of products and work with functional heads to create, communicate and drive the strategy for sponsorship, marketing, operations and delegate sales for event products
  • Take responsibility for event productions
  • Ensure profitability of the event and that agreed to revenue targets are achieved through effective management
  • Manage products specific P&Ls, set budgets, scheduling and resourcing
  • Take responsibility for a sales budget and exceed this
  • Grow existing event secretariat portfolio and Identify new event ideas together with additional revenue streams
  • Lead and develop relationships with key market players across the entire value chain
  • Manage the product event team day to day
  • Work with functional heads to set, monitor and evaluate performance targets
  • Assess, develop and coach all reporting staff
  • Accurately forecasts and maximises revenues and costs

  • Develop with the Operations Manager an operational strategy that meets or comes in under budget
  • Appoint contractors/suppliers with the Operations Manager as required ensuring the highest quality show features and design within the allocated budget
  • Take responsibility for a personal sales target for each event and the year and exceed this
  • Ensures that buy-side and sell-side audiences are thoroughly profiled and categorised by production, and hold sales accountable for the effective coverage of all categories
  • Ensures that all events in the portfolio have high quality value propositions, sales plans, sales briefs, and effective launch meetings
  • Ensure there is a completed marketing plan and strategy

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Bilingual – French and English. Portuguese would be a strong advantage
  • 7-10+ years of conference production and portfolio management experience in the conferencing industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications
  • Professional certifications in finance a plus
  • Supervise department heads and conduct performance reviews

Commercial Director

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, goal-oriented, bilingual Commercial Director to take ownership of our events and services commercial performances. In this position, you will be responsible for event delegate, exhibition and sponsorship team as well as membership sales team success, performance, and strategies.

DUTIES

  • Direct the development of the revenue strategies to achieve and exceed budgets for the event secretariat

Senior Marketing Manager

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, goal-oriented, bilingual Senior Marketing Manager to take ownership of our events and services marketing and PR performances. Senior Investment Officer

The purpose of this role is to generate deal flow and build a robust pipeline of prospective projects in infrastructure for development financing as well as structure deals. The incumbent of this role will also be responsible to coach & mentor Investment officers.

DUTIES

  • Undertake business development in DRC and position the company as a preferred partner
  • Initiate and develop new business strategies and opportunities in order to create a pipeline of infrastructure development impact projects
  • Appraise new investment and non-investment proposals (early stage screening and due diligence)
  • Perform detailed analysis of investment opportunities, including commercial analysis, financial modelling and risk and institutional analysis
  • Negotiation of project documents
  • Oversee disbursements to approved projects as well as monitor a project’s progress post investment
  • Ensure deal closure by taking responsibility for optimal financial, institutional and legal structuring
  • Provide innovative and flexible financial structures for complex transactions
  • Identify opportunities to initiate viable projects, project origination through the facilitation of project preparation, scoping, feasibility studies, and business plans with the intention of closing investment deals
  • Prepare the Infrastructure Investment Committee and Board papers on investment opportunities and feasibility studies for management and financial partners to consider

  • Broadening access to finance
  • Provide investment promotion intermediaries in DRC to receive technical assistance to build institutional capacity in areas such as strategic planning, investor marketing, sector targeting, and to improve responsiveness to investor needs through information services.
  • Assist clients to develop and implement targeted investor outreach campaigns on a country and/or regional basis
  • Undertake continuous research and provide recommendations on significant developments, emerging opportunities and challenges in areas of responsibility
  • Provide information to potential clients and document the same to provide information on customer requirements/ areas of interest
  • Key Measures Number and quality of ERR’s submitted Revenue performance in terms of interest income and fees generated % of loan book in priority geographies and sectors
  • Annual disbursements, commitments and approvals
  • Management of relationships with new/ existing clients

EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Bilingual – French and English

  • Demonstrated ability to structure a variety of complex financial instruments (debt and equity)
  • Skill in dealing in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relations
  • Experience in operating effectively across organizational boundaries and work as a team to meet assigned strategies and goals
  • Capacity to deal with conflicting priorities and deliver high quality work on schedule; facility to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries
