Register to attend the live Pitch Event of the Global AgriInno Challenge (GAC 2021) taking place on Thursday, 9 December, 13:00-15:20 hours CET.

The GAC 2021, is co-organized by FAO and Zhejiang University, with the support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Pinduoduo, aims to encourage youth and women to harness innovation, entrepreneurship, and technologies to address challenges related to the transformation of rural villages into ‘Digital Villages’ that contribute to the Four Betters: better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life, while leaving no one behind.

This year ten youth-led teams are showcasing innovation solutions that were selected out of a total of 157 applications received from 37 different countries. The teams were chosen for their outstanding potential and the promising impact of their projects to the future of global or local agri-food systems.

Before attending the final GAC 2021 pitch event, the teams will participate in an intense 36-hours online training including brainstorming and special sessions. The goal is to further develop their digital solutions with the support of mentors and coaches from government, academia, research institutes, private sector and international organizations.

You are invited to witness the pitch of the 10 finalist teams online who will be presenting in front of an international panel of judges from FAO, ITU, UNWTO, the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences, Zhejiang University and Pinduoduo. The winning teams will receive seed funding, and the exciting opportunity to participate in a Digital Agriculture Bootcamp in 2022.

Don´t miss this opportunity to discover some of the world’s most brilliant young minds coming together to offer inspiring solutions to some of the agri-food sectors’ greatest challenges.
